· Delta Refund Request – As per Delta flight cancellation policy, passengers are restricted to claim the full refund on the flight reservation beyond 24 hours of the booking. In the case of Delta refundable tickets, passengers would get a refund after assessing the canceled flight fee. 

· Delta Flight Refund – As per Delta cancellation policy, the refund would be applicable on the unused portion of the ticket only. 

· Delta Airlines Flight Credit – As per Delta Airlines non-refundable ticket policy, the flight credit would be applicable on the non-refundable fare only and remains valid up to one year from the date of booking. 

· Delta Credit for Delayed Flight – In case of delayed or canceled flight, passengers are liable to get a refund on the unused portion of the ticket in the form of the credit and remains valid for future travel on the delta operated flight only. Delta credit for unused tickets remains valid up to one year from the date of the booking. 

· Delta Award Ticket Cancellation – Delta awards SkyMiles ticket for travel within the US can be canceled without any Delta Airlines cancellation fee any time prior to the scheduled departure. For all the award tickets that originated outside the US, passengers need to request cancellation 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure and are to be assessed 150 USD as Delta cancellation fee. 

· No Show Delta Flights – Delta no show Policy applies only to non-refundable tickets. The most restrictive fare rule will apply with refundable/non-refundable fare combinations. Refundable fares are excluded from the no-show.  

Delta Airlines Cancellation Rules

Here are the important considerations from the Delta Airlines cancellation rules for refundable as well as non-refundable fares – 

Delta Refundable Ticket Policy 

· Refundable fares offered by Delta Airlines are non-restricted fares and can be claimed for a refund up to 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure.

· Delta refundable main cabin fares are permitted for a last-minute cancellation and can be canceled up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure

·  As per Delta Airlines cancellation policy, any refundable fare clubbed with hotels or car rental or combination of all of them offer a refund on the airfare fare only. Refunds for the hotel and car rental can be claimed with the third-party vendor and is not covered under the Delta refundable cancellation policy. 

· In case of no-show, passengers are allowed to claim a refund on the Delta refundable ticket provided that passengers need to pay a no-show penalty of 150 USD alongside Delta cancellation fee of 200 USD while claiming the rest of the fare value as a refund. 

Delta Non-Refundable Ticket Policy

· As per Delta Airlines cancellation policy, Basic Economy fares are eligible for a refund under the circumstances where passengers need to cancel their reservation within 24 hours from the date of booking and the date of departure must be 7 or more days at the time of cancellation. 

· Non-refundable Delta flight tickets are not eligible for the extra legroom seat or an upgrade on the class of service.

· Delta refund on the non-refundable ticket is only eligible if the flight is delayed or canceled and is attributed directly to the airlines. The refund would be offered to the affected passengers in the form of travel credit and remains valid up to 365 days from the date of purchase. 

Delta Covid Cancellation Policy

Delta Airlines Covid rules may alter as the passenger change their rules without notice, please refer to the Delta Airlines covid policy – 

· Delta Airlines flight cancellation policy before 4 hours prior to the departure – Delta flight refund not permitted. 

· Passengers initiated Delta flight cancellation within 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure – Full or partial refund not permitted as Delta Airlines will process unutilized taxes as a refund. 

· Delta flights cancelled or initiated flight suspension – Delta refund on the canceled flight would be offered on the full value of the fare. Delta flight cancellation fee would be waived off, the airlines will process the refund in the form of a credit shell. Delta refund for delayed flight would be applicable if the flight is delayed for 3 or more hours; Delta cancel flight fee would be waived and the refund would be offered in the form of travel credit. 

· Passenger initiated Delta Airlines rescheduled flight 3 days prior to the scheduled departure – Free reschedule allowed. In such cases, Delta Airlines penalty would be waived off, and fare difference would be applicable. 

· Passenger initiated Delta Airlines reschedule flight between 72 hours and 4 hours prior to the departure – Delta Airlines reschedule the flight for free is not allowed. Delta airlines penalty and cancellation fees would be applicable. 

Delta 24 Hour Cancellation Policy

Delta cancel flight 24 hours policy allows passengers to cancel the reservation within 24 hours from the date of purchase provided  – 

· The date of scheduled departure must fall 7 or more days at the time of Delta trip cancellation

· Delta 24 hr cancellation would be applicable on all fare types, regardless of the class of service booked

· Delta 24 hour cancellation policy would not be applicable on the tickets from the SkyMiles reward account and is subject to the Delta award ticket cancellation policy. 

· Delta ticket cancellation within 24 hours would not be applicable on the booking that includes more than 9 passengers and is subject to group contract.

· Delta cancel within 24 hours policy would be applicable for all the flights originating to and from the US, and Canada

· Delta cancel flight 24 hours policy would not be applicable to the flights that rescheduled or have already redeemed the travel credit. 

· Delta Airlines 24-hour cancellation policy is exempted for the tickets purchased using e-certificates. 

· Delta refund requests under 24-hour cancellation would be processed back to the original form of payment within 7-10 working days except for the flight booking made with Delta Gift Certificates which will be credited back in the form of electronic travel certificates.
